Delivery Complete - Eswatini

As some of you may remember, my wife and I started a non-profit in 2018 called The Inheritance. One of the primary purposes of The Inheritance is to provide ENT care for families in Eswatini, Africa. (For more information on our non-profit, click here.) In December, we filled a shipping container with medical supplies and sent it off to Eswatini. Last week we received some fantastic news: the container arrived safely!

This was definitely a surprise because we didn’t expect its arrival for a few more weeks! Apparently 2020 and 2021 have brought a startling number of shipping container losses due to turbulent waters. These articles in the Wall Street Journal and Bloomberg detail significant financial losses with containers falling overboard even as our own container was en-route. We do not take it for granted that our cargo made it safe and sound and we give God all of the praise.

While we are very excited that the container arrived, we still are praying. Due to the boarders being closed (thanks, COVID), our trip we had planned for this spring has been delayed.

PLEASE JOIN US IN PRAYING

TRIP

At this time we are unsure of when travel restrictions in and out of Eswatini will lift. Pray that this foundational trip to more thoroughly unpack, set-up, and inventory our supplies would take place at precisely the Lord's time - ideally in 2021.

"Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart
and wait for the LORD." Psalm 27.14

PLANNING

This year a considerable effort will be made to design and plan a basic, yet comprehensive surgical program including workflow, protocols, and emergency preparedness. Pray for details to be well thought through and planned for as we await an opportunity to travel in person.

"In their hearts humans plan their course, but
the LORD establishes their steps." Proverbs 16.9
